Re/Max Ocean Pacific Realty opened its doors for business January 13, 1987. This program provides support for worthy members of the community that need a helping hand and seem to fall through the cracks of most of the other programs. We also have the Re/Max Christmas fill a dream program. Every year during the spring, the sales associates donate a part of each commission to CMN which goes directly to Children's Hospital support for our area. The office supports the Children's Miracle Network as its official charity. In 2001 at the Re/Max International Convention the office was recognized as "top office in number of closed transactions" (small market) for Re/Max International. In 1998 at the Re/Max Western Canada Awards conference Jim and Dave were recognized as Broker Owners of the Year in Western Canada (single office category). We attained the #1 market share position in 1996 and have averaged 36-42% market share since. Jim took over as full time sales manager in 1994 and Dave provided the recruiting thrust needed to keep growing and attain #1 market share presence. Bill and Glenn sold their ownership shares in 1994. By selectively recruiting highly motivated sales associates with high ethical standards and a commitment to team play, the office grew to become one of the highest producing offices on Vancouver Island per sales associate. Jim Gordon, Dave Procter, Bill Morrison and Glenn Procter were the original founders of Re/Max Ocean Pacific Realty. It was formed by four top producing sales associates who wanted to provide a real estate environment that would allow sales associates to be the best they could be.
